May 2016 EIG Newsletter - Latest property auction results now available
Welcome to the April newsletter that looks back at auction activity in March and preceding periods.
Following last month's newsletter in which I reported on an unprecedented buying surge resulting in 25-year old records being broken, this month's figures show more modest gains as the market returned to normality.
Overall lots offered was up 5.8%, from 2,800 lots to 2,962 lots, whilst lots sold rose 4.4% to 2,188 lots (from 2,096 in March 2015).
Figures for Q1 show double-digit gains of 10% for both lots offered and sold, whilst the total amount raised broke through the £1bn mark for the first time in 9 years - up over 28% to £1.145bn.
As ever I welcome any feedback you may have regarding the newsletters or indeed the wider market in general.
