For this year's Annual Auctioneers Lunch, Essential Information Group chose to return to Middle Temple, located in the heart of London's legal quarter.
This extraordinary venue has a long tradition of celebration, revelry and entertainment and so is the perfect place to celebrate our annual gathering of Auctioneers from across the UK.
Pre-dinner drinks were served in the Queens Room, followed by a superb banquet lunch enjoying the company of fifty five auctioneers in the elegant surroundings of the Parliament Chamber.
After dinner speeches from EIG Managing Director, David Sandeman and Director, David Leary outlined plans for the future and the dramatic increase in online auctions that EIG has been hosting. During the speeches there were some hilarious heckling moments alongside rousing support and the entertainment continued with a warm hearted address from Clive Emson, who amongst the humour showed his high regard for David Sandeman and EIG.
As always the auctioneers enjoyed the opportuntity to discuss the industry and swap stories with their peers.
The auctioneer's lunch is regarded as a highlight of the social calendar by many and every year it continues to live up to its reputation long after the event!
